Nick and I decided last night that it’s our goal to sit in every section of PNC Park. Although we’re nowhere close to achieving that goal, we have seen the Park from almost every angle.
From Section 107, Row BB (August 9, 2009):
From Section 313, Row M (April 7, 2010):
From Section 121, Row A (April 18, 2010):
From Section 140, Row A (May 6, 2010):
Those are all of the games I’ve been to so far. Nick and the kids went to a couple more games last summer without me (and my camera!), and I have no idea where they sat.
I’m not sure which section of those four is my favorite. I think they all have their pros and cons. You see and experience different aspects of the game in each spot. The nosebleed seats up in the 300 Sections are nice because you have a great view of the city, and you can see everything going on in the game (even if they look like little ants scurrying around down there!). Section 121 was fun because we were right behind the Pirates dugout and got to see the players up close and personal. And, the outfield seats gave us a great view of… well… the outfield, naturally!
We have learned one thing: Row A makes a world of difference, no matter which section you’re sitting in! It’s so nice to have front-row seats, without anyone in front of you… especially with the kids.
We’re already trying to decide which Section to aim for next time!
