until summer vacation officially begins here. Well, for Damon, anyway… Avery’s summer started two weeks ago (but she’s my easy kid, so this wasn’t such a big deal for me).
I really have no idea what I’m going to do with these children all summer. I’m thinking I need to buy season passes to the pool… that might be a wise investment. Of course, then I actually have to TAKE them to the pool. There is that.
Avery and I went to the grocery store this morning after we dropped Damon at school (for the last time, wahhhhh!). Suddenly, I have to worry about lunch foods and snacks (because Lord knows my children think they have to eat every hour on the hour) because these little people will be home every day, expecting me to feed them.
On the bright side, I’m a little excited that for the next 2.5 months I don’t have to get up early in the morning. I’m a LOT excited about that, actually. I’m still not sure it’s an even trade… my freedom 6 hours a day for an extra hour (or three) of sleep in the morning?? Ehh, at least it’s something.
