Technical difficulties

I’m trying really hard to figure out this whole WordPress thing, but every day there’s something else that throws me for a loop.

Today, I’m stressed because my pictures are looking blurry in my posts. They aren’t blurry when I open them in my photo-editing software, so I’m not sure where the problem lies. And, I haven’t figured out the perfect system for re-sizing, uploading pics yet, either. I’m sure there’s a foolproof way of doing this, but I don’t know it.

Also, on today’s post, these annoying little, dashed lines are showing up under my pics, linking to the full-size image. I don’t know where the lines came from. And the only way I can get rid of them is to delete the link to the full-size image, which I hate to do.

It’s really difficult to find answers to silly WordPress questions, too. Every time I do an Internet search, all I find is TONS of info pertaining to the not-free version, which I’m not using. Or it takes me to other WordPress blogs with those “tags.” Not helpful in most cases.

I think that’s all of the griping I have for the moment. I DO love my new WordPress blog… I just wish I could figure it all out and make my posts perfect! 😉

ETA: I think I kinda sorta figured out one part of my problem. My “blurry” pics have something to do with my Firefox settings. I opened my blog with Internet Explorer, and they looked beautifully clear. Now I just need to figure out how to fix that in Firefox (since Angie convinced me that I HAD to start using Firefox, lol).

LOVE the new, improved website — esp. urramblings on books and lit. . . . Thanx SO much for the “50s Decade Box” — talk about a “walk down memory land!” . . . Already scarfed down the moonpie, and have my eye on the Oh Henry, Smoothie, Necco wafers and wax lips as some of my next victims. That said, couldadonewithout the Mary Janes (yuk!, ca-ca!) and much of the sticky, chewy taffy treats that are gaaaronteeed to rip out my mouthfull of crowns!! xxoo

Mary Janes are yummy, Dad! I’m sure you could get rid of some of that candy over at Aunt Linda’s… or Granny and Pawpaw’s. I know it’s a long way to go, but…

I’ll save them for YOU (And get to bed — NOW!!. . . Don’t make me come up there!!)

Aww-don’t get too stressed! You know there’s an official WordPress FAQ, right? That’s been really helpful for me. 🙂
